Privacy Policy

What we collect

• Account: your email, name and major.
• Your content: semesters, courses, schedules, lessons and quiz results.
• Usage & diagnostics: basic analytics and crash logs to keep the app working.
• Notifications: a push token and your platform, only to deliver reminders.

How we use it

To run the app and the features you ask for — generating lessons and quizzes, organizing your schedule, sending reminders, showing your Insights, and keeping you signed in. We do not sell your data.

AI processing

When you create a lesson, the document or link you provide is sent through our server to our AI provider (Google, using the Gemini API) to write the lesson, quiz and flashcards. If you type an answer for AI feedback in Review, that answer is sent the same way to be graded. The uploaded document itself is not stored afterwards — we keep only a fingerprint of it so an identical upload can reuse the same lesson. Please don't include sensitive personal information in materials you upload.

Storage & sync

Your data is stored on your device and, when you're signed in, synced to our servers so it follows you across devices. Study-group content is shared with members of that group. Uninstalling removes local data; you can delete your account and server data from the app or by emailing us.

Payments

Premium subscriptions are processed by our payment providers — Stripe (international) or Paystack (Ghana and local payments) — under their own terms. Your payment goes directly to them; we receive your subscription status, not your card or mobile-money details.

Your choices

• Edit or delete your content, and delete your account, in the app.
• Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
• Request a copy or deletion of your data by emailing help.semestra@gmail.com.

Children

Semestra is for users aged 13 and over (or the minimum age in your country).
